Haiti Earthquake

For those of you who don't know Haiti was hit by a 7.0 earthquake at 4:53 Pm ET yesterday. It has leveled a ton of buildings in Port-O-Prince and the surrounding areas, including several hospitals, and the UN headquarters. All of us on the compound, that is GO staff, Haitian Staff, and our team from Kentucky, are all fine. We are all pretty shaken up. There is only minor damage on our compound, but there is significant damage elsewhere.

The Flower Mill, at LaMilotry, about a mile away from us collapsed and exploded. we do not know which one came first. Only those on the first floor were able to escape. We were treating injuries from the plant long into the night at the burn clinic.

People have come from all around to help out at the clinic when necessary. All day people have been coming from PAP, because all of the hospitals in town are either full or inoperable. we are currently turning classrooms into a miniature hospital.

Please pray for all of Haiti as we work through this natural disaster. Pray for the families who have still yet to hear from their loved ones, including several missionaries.
